Poesy

The morning sun reflects a hundred thousand times
    off Andalusian seas.

Such beauty sings, each glinted flash reminding me
    of words I’ve longed to write;
Yet light is not the least concerned with where it’s been,
    or goes—it simply is.

Still every thought that’s sown throughout: our fallow hours
    yield radiance—life and depth.
