Chick Magnet

I hadn’t lounged there
Lazing in the sun
For more than five minutes
Before I saw her
Pawing at my leg

Yes, saw her
More than felt
It was as if
She hoped I
Wouldn’t notice
Or at least
Wouldn’t mind
Her sly touch

I brushed her away
With a swift backhand
And returned to my reverie
In the evening light

But before long
There she was again
Furtively feeling her
Way up my thigh

I guess she didn’t
Get the hint
First time ’round

Sweeping her aside
I rose abruptly before
She got under my skin

I tell you
It seems that she
And the rest can’t
Wait to get their
Hooks into me

They all find me
Irresistible

What’s that?

No.
No, I said, “Tick magnet.”
