and he came to the shore While the crowd pressed in And nets were being cleaned

We found him on a hillside, alone. Somehow, I haven’t a clue, He lost himself in the crowds, That feeding frenzy of agonizing hope.

What have we to do with you? Our skin crawls, bristles, blisters Shrieks well from within our spine

I cast my net upon the waters It makes not so much a splash As a hiss

You don’t want to know me I am just like you I am wonderfully made Or so I have learned Knit finely together But that was long ago
